St John's Church, Newport, Isle of Wight

St John’s Church
St John's is a church in the open evangelical tradition with worship that varies between traditional and modern styles. We strive to be obedient to the Holy Spirit and to allow him to work within our patterns of worship.
Part of our response to Jesus' love for us is caring for the needy. However it is easy for needs to go unnoticed. Please contact the Vicar, the assistant curate or another member of the church staff if you know of anyone who is sick, housebound, bereaved or otherwise in need of some help and support.
St John's is part of the Church of England and comes under the Deanery of the Isle of Wight in the Diocese of Portsmouth. It is one of two parishes in the centre of Newport. The Parish of St John's includes the south side of Newport and extends into the neighbouring countryside, as far as Blackwater and Whitecroft.
Details of how to contact the church and directions to the church can be found on the Contact page of this website.
